A graduate of the University of Florida where she studied theater, education and journalism, Eileen's careers are as interesting as they are varied. Whether teaching in the classroom, performing on stage or in studios; helping manage and promote two art galleries and a large equestrian facility or being the marketing director for two high-tech firms, Eileen always brings a professional attitude coupled with a strong dose of levity. "Hey, it if isn't fun – why go?"
As the owner of Batson Group Marketing and PR for 20+ years, her clients cover a broad spectrum of industries and locations. She helps individuals and business owners when they want to be well known, well thought of and well remembered by providing media/press releases, help with social media, marketing research, and a variety of marketing collateral.
Married to award-winning singer-songwriter Jon Batson, she's been involved in the music community in Raleigh and Los Angeles. She was on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Songwriters' Co-Operative for 3 years, the Director of their 2007 Annual Songwriting Contest and produced the 2009 Raleigh House Concert Series.
Eileen is actively involved in Women's Power Networking: Coffee and Contacts as the Organizer of the Crabtree Chapter and was on the steering committee as well as handling the PR for the successful Coffee and Contacts 2009 Women Helping Women Expo in Raleigh.
She consults, holds workshops and speaks on social networking, PR, marketing, and blogging.
