Networking Coffee and Contacts Style

By Jean Hedges
Founder of Women's Power Networking and Coffee and Contacts

Coffee and Contacts has a very distinctive style of networking. We work at building relationships not simply, “closing the sale.” The difference is we are building our businesses for the long run. We know we are better than our last sale. We are more concerned with the next sale, and the sale after that, and the one after that. Future business is the direct result of the relationships we create today. It's more about referrals and sharing our sphere of influence with our fellow members than closing a prospect on the spot.

The Essence of Communication

“The reality of the other person lies not in what he reveals to you but in what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him listen not to what he says but rather to what he does not say.”

When we listen effectively we become aware of our own culture and beliefs, assumptions, perceptions, expectations, and judgments. When we listen we are clear as to what gets in the way. When we listen we are present, grounded, and free.

Batson Group Marketing and PR

Bottomline-It's a web page made up of usually short, frequently updated posts that are arranged chronologically — like a “what's new page” or a journal. The term is actually “weblogs” coined by Jorn Barger in 1997.

Navigating Through Life: Taking Cues from the Cosmos

by Crissy Keye

Owner Holistic Restoration and Cleanse With Crissy

Life is constantly giving us signs as to which direction to go and what choices to make. If we are unaware of the signs, we miss them, overlook them, or misinterpret them. With everything that occurs around us, we are given feedback. We get off track by labeling the feedback as success/failure, right/wrong, good/bad. By doing this, we miss out on the valuable message the feedback contains. We interrupt in Human what is spoken in Love (also known as God, the Universe, source energy, the Creator). By learning how to read these messages, we develop intuition, self-trust, and experience greater ease and flow in the paths our life takes.
