Serious About Networking

Women's Power Networking is serious about networking support for our members. Our tone is social and supportive as much as it is about business and marketing. We do also have a networking system that has brought our women both joy and increased business.

There are three levels of participation for members of Coffee and Contacts. For each level members receive points for certain services. When a member has reached a specific high total of points for their activities they are rewarded with a gift certificate in their chapter and a visual award on the WPN website denoting their high level of networking support. The level of effort required is equivalent to 50 simple networking activites or 10 of the highest level networking activities.

The flower designation next to a member's name denotes their energy and enthusiasm for networking with and supporting the businesses of the other members. Each one who has earned this distinction at least once has repeatedly practiced the art of active networking support of others. You can see the flower next to their name on their chapter member page.

Simple Networking Activities:

  • do an expert presentation at your home chapter
  • make a referral within WPN that did not lead to business for another member
  • buy products or services from a WPN member, awarded once a month
  • attend WPN member event or another chapter meeting
  • submit a testimonial to the WPN website
  • act on the advice of a chapter speaker presentation

Advanced Networking Activities:

  • make a referral that has led to a consultation or connection for another member
  • have a "one-on-one" with another WPN member
  • bring a visitor guest to a meeting
  • make an expert presentation at another Coffee and Contacts Chapter
  • submit and article to the WPN website
  • upload your member photo and profile to the WPN website

Highest Networking Activities:

  • make a referral that leads to business for another WPN member
  • host a show or party for another WPN member
  • create a speaking opportunity for a member outside of WPN
  • purchase a WPN sponsorship
  • participate in a joint venture with a fellow WPN member

Women’s Power Networking Sponsors Reach Women Who Make the Buying Decisions

Women are the drivers of purchase decisions. Connecting to women, especially women 25-54 and baby boomers, is vital. The former, are juggling a constant mix of career, family and self-care decisions; and the latter, are more financially empowered than any previous generation of women.

Due to our unique demographic, Women’s Power Networking (WPN) is able to help your company overcome the challenges of reaching these market segments with your products and services. Founded originally as Coffee and Contacts in 2007, Women's Power Networking "Alliances for Business - Alliances for Life" is a growing, national women's business referral network. WPN is the umbrella organization for a variety of events that you can sponsor. These events bring women together for business and social activities—monthly Power Lunches, Women's Executive Roundtables and Cocktails and Contacts. Weekly Coffee and Contacts chapter meetings offer women a positive environment to grow personally and professionally.

In addition to being an event sponsor, you will be featured on our website, which went live September 2010. Our site is remarkably popular and growing exponentially:

  • Over 1,000 Unique Visitors a month!
  • 619,000 Total Hits in six months!
  • Over 103,000 Hits Per Month!

  • Over the next decade, women will control two thirds of consumer wealth in the United States and be the beneficiaries of the largest transference of wealth in our country’s history. Estimates range from $12 to $40 trillion. Many Boomer women will experience a double inheritance windfall, from both parents and husband. The Boomer woman is a consumer that luxury brands want to resonate with. – Claire Behar, Senior Partner and Director, New Business Development, Fleishman-Hillard New York
  •  The number of wealthy women investors in the U.S. is growing at a faster rate than that of men. In a two-year period, the number of wealthy women in the U.S. grew 68%, while the number of men grew only 36%. – The Spectrem Group
  •  Affluent working women with family incomes of $75,000 or more are growing in number, and 94.3 percent access the Internet during an average month. About half are now considered heavy users of the Internet, while heavy use of radio, television, newspapers and direct mail has declined within this group. Ten Marketing Trends to Watch, Kim T.
